Chinese Dragon Dance

 

To celebrate the Chinese New Year and as part of Class 3's work on China, they created this dragon dance. This video shows the dress run.

My name is Ronelda Capadona (formerly Herniman) and I attended Skidby School as a child-back in the 70’s...

 

I moved to the U.S. in 1993 and have lived here ever since. I have been in education for the last 17 years and the principal (head teacher) at Sanborn Elementary School , in Chandler , Arizona, USA  for the last 4 years.

 

In the coming months children at Skidby will be making further contacts with Mrs Capadona and the children in her school  to exchange ideas about living and growing up in Arizona.

SATS 2010

 

Dates for next years SATs have just arrived, they are between Monday 10th May and Friday 14th May 2010.

 

There are only tests in English and Maths this year.

Success for Year 6

 

Key Stage 2 results for the children in year 6 have just been returned. Following a very exciting and hardworking year, the results show how well the children have done.

 

 

English   100% level 4 or above with 30% at level 5.

 

Maths    90% at level 4 or above with 70% at level 5

 

Science   100% at level 4 or above and 40% at level 5.

 

 

Of the children who started at Skidby School we have 100% 2 levels of attainment for the group, and all children met their targets for the year.
